Iceland LGBTQ+ Elopement at South Coast Waterfall | Iceland Wedding Photographer
I absolutely love that being an Iceland Elopement & Wedding Photographer gives me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful, warm souls. These two decided to get married in Iceland and I could not be happier that we had the opportunity to become friends and they gave me the honor to document their day. I love elopements for so, so many reasons- but one of them is for the flexibility they offer the couple to let them have their wedding their way and pour nothing but their love intentionally into it.
Iceland is such the perfect place to have an elopement or wedding for so many reasons, one of them being that Iceland is one of the most welcoming countries when it comes to equality and love. This area of Iceland, specifically the South Coast where the waterfall they had their ceremony is located, is the perfect landscape for an elopement. South Iceland offers scenery that is out of this world making you feel like you are on another planet.
Lisabel & Sarah’s story with arriving on Iceland as their elopement destination is one for the romance novels.
These two met and fell in love while living in separate continents- Europe and America. One of the really amazing things about Iceland’s natural wonders is the European and North American tectonic plates meet here and can be seen. So it was only fitting that these two get married where they meet. I feel totally ecstatic that I was given the opportunity to facilitate this elopement with them and the help of Pink Iceland helping with the details with their guests. It was a day to remember.
