Adorable Iceland LGBTQ+ Engagement Session | Iceland Elopement Photographer

THESE TWO. THESE TWO HUMANS. Gabríella and Rakel, or Flawless and Rushkva as I call them, are the sweetest, kindest people and I am so lucky I got to shoot their Icelandic Engagement Session a few months ago. I met these two from playing roller derby where they both skate for the Reykjavík Roller Derby team, Roller Derby Iceland. (When you visit Iceland, you should check out one of their games!) When I am in Iceland I try to skate with them and help coach them as often as I can since I am also a roller derby skater for the past 13yrs. (I am a grandma in this sport). After the news broke out about their engagement we scheduled a shoot for them. AND LOOK HOW DREAMY IT IS!

We went to a little spot I love to venture to and they brought their roller skates and some homebrew beers to drink. We adventured around as I had them climbing up on things and running down at full speed. Their dynamic really made my job easy, as documenting the love they have for each other was no task. They are adorable and love each other so much. After some walking around in the chilly weather, we decided to have them out on their skates and hangout in a field with them. SO CUTE CAN'T DEAL. We all drank some homebrew and laughed a lot while I captured them just being themselves. It was a dream session and I know their wedding will be just amazing.
