I am the luckiest elopement photographer, ever.

I can’t even begin to express my extreme gratitude for this year. Every year I am gifted with the experience to help and support couples as they embark on their own elopement adventures.

Most years, I do a round up of what my year was like, the awards I won, the places my photos were published, countries I visited, and other accomplishments I’m proud of. This year I am not interested in compiling those things. Yes, I’m super proud of those accomplishments and being able to travel to some really amazing places. Those ARE important to me and essential to my growth as a human. But.

This year is different.
This year I’m feeling overwhelmed with happiness that I get to live in Iceland and be an elopement photographer.

This year, I want to speak on being honored by all of these couples who eloped and chose me as their photographer. All of the couples who brought me along their honeymoon & anniversary adventures, who secretly proposed to their partners, or celebrating their recent engagements. When I sit down to think of it, it’s a REALLY amazing feeling. I’ve spent years and years REFINING my processes, LEARNING who and what I can do to SUPPORT AND EMPOWER people, and what more I can do to make them feel comfy.

This year it all came aligned with my couples and that makes me so happy.

So, this post is to the couples who live differently. Who do not feel the shame, guilt, and aversion to eloping and having their wedding done differently. To honor the couples that want to adventure around Iceland, Scotland, Norway, Ireland, or anywhere adventurous to create an experience with their partner. To go on a honeymoon and create so many more memories.

I fell fully into my role I play in THEIR adventure and THEIR journey. I am so proud and elated that I get to support SO MANY AMAZING couples in making this dream they had come to a reality. To be able to support them when maybe their family is pushing back on their dreams, when they are being told it’s a waste of money, or being guilted that they are doing these things and not thinking about others in the process.

I’m way here for you, your elopements, and your adventures. This year has shown me that.

It’s given me so much opportunity to connect, support, empower, and befriend so many humans. That’s what I am most thankful for in 2019.

I can’t wait to see how many couples I get to meet in 2020. I’m ready for the emails, the consults, refining their COMPLETE personal experience to give my heart & soul. To be given the gift and skill of creating unique art as a time capsule.
